My Approach to Blogging

There will never be a large number of posts to this blog.

I feel no need to be the 143rd person to comment on some stupid statement or lie by a Republican presidential candidate. (Now that Mitt Romney is certain to be the Republican nominee, the number of stupid statements will decrease significantly. I will concede he is intelligent. But the number of lies will continue unabated.)

Instead, I will make a post when I have a somewhat different take on an issue or when I notice something that seems to have been overlooked by most other people.

Finally, I will not normally allow comments. I have no intention of moderating comments and unmoderated comments inevitably get filled with garbage from spam robots or trolls, so, no comments. If you feel the need to respond to a post, my email address is in the upper right corner of the page. The two exceptions to this are that the blogging software allows comments by default and I will sometimes forget to reset to disallow comments; and that I will occasionally allow comments in order to elicit a particular comment to set up a follow-on post. In other words, I will set a trap for certain commenters, so beware.
